MEXICO – Vancouver-based Starcore International Mines poured the first doré bar at its Antiplano toll mill in Matehuala on Feb. 15. Commercial production was proclaimed with the pouring of the 12.131 kg bar. The mill has state-of-the-art leach facilities that are intended to provide an economical alternative to smelting for concentrates producer. The plant will treat gold- and silver-containing concentrates, producing both doré bars and clean, high grade concentrates. The area is a historic mining district and home to many medium sized mines, said the company. The company’s website is at www.Starcore.com.
