QUEBEC – Integra Gold Corp. of Vancouver says phase one metallurgical tests of samples from the North Cluster at its Lamaque project in Val d'Or achieved gold recoveries of 98%. Samples from the South Cluster yielded 92% recovery.

The tests were conducted by ALS Metallurgy of Kamloops, BC. The samples were comprised of more than 255 kg of core from the two areas. Gravity separation followed by direct cyanidation was used in the first phase. The second phase of testing is underway that will focus on grinding, cyanide concentration, leach time, and the addition of flotation to the flowsheet. Detailed mineralogy is also being conducted to assess the liberation of sulphide minerals.

Integra says the South Cluster is its top priority. It currently has a high grade resource of 444,962 inferred oz in 1.26 million tonnes grading 11.06 g/t Au, as well as 61,168 indicted oz in 140,840 tonnes grading 13.51 g/t Au. Those numbers may rise with the next estimate when the results of 34,000 metres of recent drilling are included.
