ONTARIO – Toronto-based Wesdome Gold Mines continues to cut high grades during drifting and drilling at the new, parallel 300 zone at the Eagle River gold mine near Wawa.

Drifting on the 750 level has confirmed continuity of the structure. The following intervals were of note: 15.17 g/t Au with an average width of 1.67 metres and a length of 51.00 metres; and 115.40 g/t with an average width of 2.21 metres and a length of 36.00 metres. (High grades cut to 60 g/t.)

Infill drilling results in the West zone between 825 and 925 metres deep is expanding that zone. Significant assays were 12.61 g/t over 1.95 metres; 121.33 g/t over 2.00 metres; 115.66 g/t over 2.35 metres; 10.08 g/t over 2.10 metres; 16.64 g/t over 3.60 metres; and 86.50 g/t over 2.10 metres.

The 300 zone is a sub-vertically dipping quartz vein system located 400 metres north and parallel to the Eagle River mine's main producing structure. Wesdome is focused on bringing it into the mining sequence quickly with initial production scheduled for the second half of 2015.
