QUEBEC – The MV Sterling departed Sept-Iles on Sept. 14 with a cargo of 77,000 tonnes of iron ore sinter fines from the Tata Steel Minerals Canada direct shipping ore (DSO) project near Schefferville. The project is a joint venture of India's Tata Steel (80%) and Calgary's New Millennium Iron Corp (20%). The vessel is bound for Europe where Tata has several steel plants.
