ARGENTINA - ARGENTEX MINING of Vancouver is encountering high-grade base metal, precious metal and indium values at its Pingino project in the Santa Cruz province. Two holes below the oxidized portion of the Marta Centro zone were particularly encouraging.

Hole P53 intersected a large zone of zinc and lead enrichment over 34.80 metres, including a 10.80-metre section that graded 138.7 g/t Ag, 3.0197% Pb, 8.0905% Zn and 177 ppm In. Another section of the same hole returned 5.2300% Pb, 32.95% Zn and 1,184 ppm In.

Hole P54 encountered a large zone of zinc, copper and lead enrichment over 21.90 metres. In an 8-metre length it assayed 1.5657% Cu, 1.0607% Pb, 4.9967% Zn and 70 ppm In.

Indium is in demand for the manufacture of flat panel displays, including plasma TVs.
