LITHIUM: Canada Lithium reaches continuous production milestone

QUEBEC – Canada Lithium Corp. of Toronto says its Quebec lithium project 60 km north of Val d'Or has reached an important milestone – continuous production of lithium carbonate. Previously, production had been achieved only in batch operation.

The company says day shift mining, suspended in July, has been reinstated so that the ore stockpile can be replenished. Crushing, grinding, concentrator and kiln circuits are operational and will be sequentially increased to design capacity – 20,000 tonnes Li₂O₃ annually.

The product is packaged at the mine site, and shipments to Tewoo in China are to begin in the coming weeks.
