QUEBEC – RB Energy (formerly Canada Lithium) of Toronto says that during commissioning of the hydrometallurgical circuit at its Quebec lithium project, a very high quality, battery grade lithium carbonate product was made. It tested 99.9% Li2CO3.
RB Energy said in a release that production from this initial run will continue to the end of March. Then the operation will be shut down for normal commissioning checks, and the restart is planned for mid-April. Commercial rates of production are expected in Q3 and nameplate capacity, 20,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate annually, will be achieved by the end of 2014.

From their website, RB Energy appears to be in receivership. Is this news in fact current?

Please note that the item was written in March 2014. RB Energy never did get into commercial production, hence the need for receivership.
