MANITOBA GOSSAN RESOURCES of Winnipeg has new 43-101 numbers for its Inwood property in the south-central region of the province. Resources include 28.8 million measured tonnes at 21.15% MgO and 30.91% CaO; 5.1 million indicated tonnes at 21.40% MgO and 30.66% CaO; and 131.2 million inferred tonnes at 21.64% MgO and 30.51% CaO.

Gossan is advancing development at Inwood, where it says a facility with annual capacity of 80,000 tonnes of magnesium could be built and operated for about 30 years. The company holds the option of the worldwide rights to a new highly efficient production process that is being tested at Inwood. The process, being developed by Douglas J. Zuliani, is an adaptation of the traditional Magnetherm process. His changes are aimed at improving both magnesium recovery and silicon reduction efficiency without the need for a vacuum.

Gossan (www.Gossan.ca) is undertaking a three-stage evaluation and will seek a joint venture partner for pilot plant testing and commercialization of the process.
