MILL SALE: Rambler buys Nugget Pond plant from Crew Gold

NEWFOUNDLAND — Rambler Metals & Mining of Baie Verte has completed the $3.5 million purchase of the Nugget Pond mill from London, UK-based Crew Gold Corp.

Originally designed to treat gold ore, Rambler has plans to expand the mill. A copper flotation circuit will be added to treat ore from Rambler's Ming mine 40 km away.

Crew has been custom milling ore from the Pine Cove gold mine, and the contract with Pine Cove owner Anaconda Mining runs until June 30, 2010. That contract will be honoured by Crew's agreement to lease back the mill until it expires. Meanwhile, Rambler employees will have full access to the site to complete detailed engineering for the planned changes.
