MINE OPENING: Ceremony held for Copper Mountain

BRITISH COLUMBIA - On Aug. 18, 2011, Copper Mountain Mining held the official opening ceremony for the Copper Mountain open pit mine, 15 km southwest of Princeton. About 1,700 people attended, enjoying a look at the pit from a special outlook and taking an inside tour of the 35,000 t/d mill. Guests were treated to a BBQ lunch before addresses from dignitaries including Hon. Rich Coleman, B.C. Minister of Energy & Mines; Hon. Bill Barisoff, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly; Randy Maclean, mayor of Princeton; as well as senior executives of Mitsubishi Material Corp. who travelled from Japan and the company's senior executives.
