BRAZIL GL&V of Montreal has been awarded a $11.4-million contract for processing equipment to an alumina refinery located in the Amazon region. The sale includes Dorr-Oliver Eimco thickeners and filters.
This is the second announcement, within the last few weeks, of an important contract obtained by Dorr-Oliver Eimco in Brazil, the first being an order of more than $8 million for the supply of several pieces of equipment to a new iron ore mine. "The firming-up of prices for most base and precious metals has led to a sharp increase in capital investments by the mining industry all around the world, and we are well positioned to take advantage of this trend through our international network," said Richard Verreault, GL&V's executive VP and COO.
