ORILLIA, Ontario DORR-OLIVER EIMCO, a division of GL&V CANADA, has won contracts worth over $5.1 million from INCO LTD. for mineral processing equipment at the Voisey's Bay nickel project in Newfoundland.

Dorr-Oliver Eimco has been a supplier to Inco for over 50 years. Contracts for Voisey's Bay will include supply of twenty-three 1,350-cu-ft and twenty-eight 300-cu-ft flotation cells to be used for aeration, rougher scavenging and scavenger cleaning nickel-copper circuits. A 28.5-metre-diameter reactor clarifier mechanism will also be supplied. It will remove suspended solids (metal hydroxides, gypsum, etc.) from waste water prior to discharge. The equipment is scheduled to be delivered by mid-2004 as start-up is anticipated by the end of 2005.

Although rivaled by strong competition, Dorr-Oliver Eimco continues to offer competitive products, service, value and expertise that has helped the company excel as a key supplier to Inco and to many other companies in the global mineral processing industry.
