MINING PEOPLE: AEMQ, Khalkos, and Turquoise Hill

At the end of a very successful convention in Montreal last week, the Quebec Mineral Exploration Association (AEMQ) appointed Jean M. Gagne and Frank Mariage board chairs of Minalliance and the AEMQ, respectively. Both are partners at Fasken Martineau in the firm's global mining group.

Khalkos Exploration of Montreal has named Mackenzie Watson, at 50-year veteran of the industry and noted mine finder, as a technical advisor.

Dr. James Gill has been named to the board of Turquoise Hill Resources in Vancouver, effective Nov. 1, 2014. He is an experienced explorer, developer and operator with more than 40 years of international mining experience.
