MINING PEOPLE: Allegiant Gold, Detour Gold, Lupaka, and Power Metals

Andy Wallace has been named CEO of Allegiant Gold, a subsidiary to be spun out of Columbus Gold of Vancouver. Wallace is the principal of Cordex Exploration credited with nine gold discoveries in Nevada.

The new COO of Detour Gold in Toronto is Frazer Bourchier, formerly COO of Nevsun Resources and a past manager of the Porgera open pit gold mine. His appointment becomes effective Jan. 3, 2018.

William Ansley

Lupaka Gold Corp. of Vancouver has named William Ansley as president, CEO and a director of the company. He was a member of two teams (FNX Mining and Lake Shore Gold) that put six mines into production over an eight-year period in Sudbury and Timmins, Ont.

Vancouver-based Power Metals Corp. has appointed Dr. Julie Selway its new VP of exploration. She is an expert on lithium pegmatites. She is a graduate of the University of Manitoba and co-author of 22 scientific articles on pegmatites.
