Bruce Curling has assumed the CEO role on a permanent basis at Vancouver's Alphamin Resources Corp. He had been assisted by Brendon Jones, but Jones is relinquishing his transitional CEO role but retaining a non-executive seat on the board. In addition, Mark Gasson is stepping down from the Alphamin board.

Avanti Mining of Toronto has changed it name to Alloycorp Mining Inc. and made changes to its executive team. Peter Mah is the new COO and president of Avanti Kitsault Mines. He replaces Jeff Lowe, who is retiring at the end of the year.

Vancouver's Calibre Mining Corp. has named Julie Lassonde as a director of the company. She brings with her 17 years of experience in a variety of financial advisory and engineering roles.

Castle Resources of Toronto announced the appointment of Lenny Foreht as president and CEO. He takes over from Mike Sylvestre who is stepping down.

Claude Leveillee has been made VP community relations and HR at Falco Resources in Rouyn-Noranda, QC. He will help formulate and lead the company's community outreach and stakeholder engagement strategy.

Mega Precious Metals of Thunder Bay, ON, has given Tim Twomey the responsibilities of VP exploration. He was previously the senior exploration geologist with Goldcorp.
