Brian Kenny is appointed CEO of Arianne Phosphate in Saguenay, QC, as of July 3, 2013. He is a seasoned project development executive, having most recently overseen the development and completion of the $7-billion EMAL smelter project in Abu Dhabi and directed more than $10 billion in development projects in Saudi Arabia, Western Algeria, and Kazakhstan over five years with Dubai Aluminium.

Colt Resources of Montreal has named Richard Quesnel its executive chairman of the board following the retirement of Jean Depatie.

Keith Piggott is now president and CEO of Vancouver-based Goldgroup Mining. He replaces Dr. Hans von Michaelis who resigned to pursue other business opportunities. Piggott is also the company's largest shareholder.

The newest independent director of Primero Mining of Toronto is Brad Marchant, who brings to the table over 30 years of experience in the industry. He holds a BSc in biochemistry from the University of New Brunswick and an MASc in mining and mineral process engineering from the University of British Columbia.

Teck Resources of Vancouver has promoted Ian Kilgour the position of executive VP and COO. He was the company's senior VP of coal. Kilgour will be responsible for all of Teck's mining operations and joint ventures in its steelmaking coal, copper, and zinc business units. He holds degrees from the Royal School of Mines, London and from the University of Melbourne.
