Atlantic Gold Corp. of Vancouver has appointed Maryse Belanger as COO, effective July 17. She was most recently CEO and managing director of Mirabela Nickel. Former COO John Morgan is retiring but will continue to advise the company. Bas Brusche and Ron Prasad have joined Vancouver-based Geoscience BC as VP external relations and GIS specialist, respectively. Hugh (Bert) McPherson has joined MX Gold Corp. in Vancouver as the company’s president and COO. He will be in charge of all operations at the Max mine and Willa mill. McPherson was until recently mine manager at Goldcorp’s Penasquito mine in Mexico. Nemaska Lithium of Quebec City has hired Francoise Godin as VP operations. He will be responsible for the Whabouchi mine and mill as well as the Shawinigan hydrometallurgical plant. Godin holds a bachelor's degree in metallurgical engineering from Ecole Polytechnique of Montreal. Vancouver-based Rouge Resources (to be renamed Fiore Exploration) has named Timothy Warman its CEO. He is a professional geologist with over 25 years of experience in all phases of mineral exploration, from grassroots exploration through feasibility and development. He is a graduate of the University of Manitoba (MSc) and McMaster University (BSc). Yorbeau Resources of Montreal has appointed Amit Gupta as chairman and CEO and George Bodnar, Jr., as VP. Both men are also directors of the company.
