MINING PEOPLE: Broadway Gold, Genius Properties, Power Metals, Rupert Resources, and Sierra Metals

[caption id="attachment_1003717966" align="alignright" width="242"] Broadway Gold's Duane Parnham[/caption] Vancouver-based Broadway Gold Mining has  named Duane Parnham as president and CEO. Effective immediately, founder and former president/CEO Steve Hanson will become chairman of the board. The new president and CEO at Genius Properties of Montreal is Guy Goulet, former executive at Maya Gold and Silver. Previous Genius president and CEO Jimmy Gravel will now act as VP development and continue to hold a seat on the board. Power Metals Corp. of Vancouver has asked Brent Butler to be the CEO and a director of the company. He is a geologist from Otago University who has more than 30 years of international industry experience in exploration, resource modeling and mining. [caption id="attachment_1003717967" align="alignleft" width="239"] Sierra Metals' Igor Gonzales[/caption] James Withall is joining Toronto-based Rupert Resources as CEO, effective April 18, 2017. He was recently a managing partner at Baker Steel Capital Managers. Brian Hinchcliffe, president of the company, will relinquish his role as CEO and become chairman of the board. Sierra Metals of Toronto has named Igor Gonzales its new  president and CEO, effective May 1, 2017. Formerly COO of Barrick, he has been a member of the Sierra board since 2013. He is also a director at Hudbay Minerals and Minas Buenaventura.
