MINING PEOPLE: Callinex, CaNickel, Commerce Resources, Falco, and Probe

Callinex Mines of Vancouver has appointed Keith C. Minty to its board. He is also president and CEO of Hunter Bay Minerals. Between 2008 and 2013, Minty was COO for Thani Emirates Resource Holdings. Additionally, Nico Civelli has been named VP finance.

The new CEO of Vancouver-based CaNickel Mining is Wenfeng Liu.

Vancouver's Commerce Resources Corp. has chosen John Christopher Grove to be its president. Former president David Hodge will continue to serve and CEO and a director of the company.

Falco Resources of Vancouver has appointed Sean Roosen as chairman. The nomination follows an announcement that Gold Royalties recently announced its intension to increase its take in Falco to 14.99%. Roosen is chairman and CEO of Osisko Gold Royalties, and prior to that was a founder as well as president and CEO at Osisko Mining Corp.

Jamie Sokalsky has been appointed a director of Probe Mines in Toronto. He will become non-executive chairman of the board upon the retirement of Patrick Reid on Oct. 29. Sokalsky is a former president and CEO of Barrick Gold.
