MINING PEOPLE: Castle Resources, Condor Resources, Golden Reign, Victory Nickel, and Wesdome

Tyler Michelson is joining the board of Castle Resources in Toronto. He is currently president and CEO of Royal Nickel, and before that was VP strategy, business planning and brownfield exploration with Vale Inco.

Condor Resources of Vancouver has appointed Lyle Davis as CEO. He is a graduate of Queen's University and has served as a Condor director since 2004.

The COO of Vancouver-based Golden Reign Resources is now Kevin Weston. Since he earned a mining engineering degree from McGill University, he has overseen both open pit and underground projects in Canada, Mexico, Zimbabwe and Tunisia.

Klondex Mines of Elko, NV, has named the COO of Primero Mining, Renaud Adams, to its board of directors.

Victory Silica, a subsidiary of Toronto's Victory Nickel, has hired two key personnel for its recently acquired frac sand plant near Medicine Hat, AB. Phillip Birmingham will be the general manager, as he was for the previous owner. Troy Bergen, who worked for the old owner from 2008 to 2010, will be plant manager.

Toronto-based Wesdome Gold Mines has named Philip Ng as COO. He is a veteran of other gold miners, Claude Resources and Queenston  Mining. He holds a BEng and an MEng in mining engineering from McGill University.
