Dr. George Poling has joined the board of Vancouver-based Catalyst Copper Corp. Poling holds a BSc in mining and metallurgical engineering and a PhD in mineral process engineering from the University of Alberta and is considered among Canada's foremost experts in the mineral processing and environmental management of mining operations. He is also professor emeritus and former head of the Department of Mining and Mineral Process Engineering at the University of British Columbia.

Dundee Precious Metals of Toronto says founder Ned Goodman has resigned from the board of directors. He will remain at the helm of Dundee Corporation as president and CEO.

Gil Leathley is now the senior advisor to the CEO of Vancouver's Sunward Resources. He was the driving force in overseeing the development of several major operating mines in Canada, Australia and South America on behalf of Noranda, International Corona and Homestake Mining. Most recently, he held the position of senior VP and COO of NovaGold Resources.

Vangold Resources of Vancouver has named John Robins chairman of the board and Bruce Counts president and a director. In addition, Michael Cooney has been appointed to the board. Dal Brynelsen remains CEO.
