Vancouver-based CB Gold has named Marius Mare its new VP exploration. He was VP exploration for Kimber Resources and has previously held senior roles with different mining companies including Placer Dome and Phelps Dodge Exploration. He holds a BSc (Honours) and a MSc in geological sciences from the University of Manitoba.
Benoit Lafrance is the new VP exploration at Ottawa-headquartered Focus Graphite. His résumé includes three years as a scientific researcher, four years with Cogitore Resources, and five years with the Quebec geological survey.
Rubicon Minerals Corp of Toronto has appointed a new VP operations, Dan Labine, effective Jan. 21, 2013. He previously worked for Goldcorp where he was project manager for the construction of the 5-km-long underground haulage drift between the Cochenour project and Red Lake Gold Mines. Labine holds a BEng from Laurentian University. He replaces Claude Bouchard who has left the company.
The new VP exploration at Vancouver's Tinka Resources is John Nebocat. He has been an independent technical consultant to the company since 2003.
