MINING PEOPLE: China Minerals, McEwen Mining, Orex, San Gold, and Santa Fe Metals

Michael Guo has been named chief geologist for Vancouver-based China Minerals Mining Corp. He will oversee the company's geological work in Canada.

The latest addition to the management team at McEwen Mining of Toronto is Craig Stanley as VP corporate development. He holds a MSc in geology from The University of Western Ontario.

Orex Exploration of Montreal has appointed Willie McLucas as president and CEO. He succeeds Mark Billings, who will remain on the board and continue as chairman.

San Gold Corp. of Winnipeg has accepted the retirement of Hugh Wynne, a founder of the company, from the board. The company has named Bob Brennan as chairman. Brennan retired from the chief executive position at Manitoba Hydro in 2012 after 47 years service. He currently sits on the boards of Riverview Health Centre Foundation. Stars Aviation, First Peoples Economic Growth Fund, and Canadian National Institute for the Blind.

R. Stuart "Tookie" Angus has retired from the chairman's role of Vancouver-based Santa Fe Metals Corp. His seat will be filled by Ian Smith, and Smith's position as president and CEO will be filled by Scott Broughton.
