MINING PEOPLE: Copper North, Dorsey & Whitney LLP, First Majestic, and Majestic Gold

Copper North Mining Corp. of Vancouver has named Dr. Harlan Meade as president, CEO and director. He is the holder of a doctorate in geology and a MBA. He was the former president and CEO of Selwyn Resources.

Steve Vaughan has joined international law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP in its Toronto office. He is a geologist with a BSc from University of New Brunswick and a MSc from McGill University. He earned his law degree from the University of New Brunswick.

First Majestic Silver Corp. of Vancouver has promoted Salvador Garcia to the role of COO starting July 1, 2014. He replaces Ramon Davila who will continue to act as the company's governmental relations officer in Mexico. Garcia is a former VP Mexico of Goldcorp.

Vancouver's Majestic Gold Corp. has named Stephen Kenwood its president and CEO, bringing experience in the area of advanced project development in North and South America. He holds a BSc geology from the University of British Columbia.
