Toronto-based Currie Rose Resources says that company president, Michael Griffiths, has assumed the additional role of CEO, replacing Harold Smith, who remains a director and significant shareholder of the company.
The new executive chairman of Vancouver’s Northern Empire Resources is Douglas J. Hurst. He has over 30 years of experience as a geologist, consultant, mining analyst, senior executive and board member. He was among the founders of Newmarket Gold that was recently purchased by Kirkland Lake Gold.
Nouveau Monde Graphite of Saint-Michel-des-Saints, Que., has hired Karl Trudeau as its new COO. He will be responsible for all phases of the operation (planning, construction and start-up of a demonstration plant) including the supervision of mandatory studies and permits.
