Toronto-based Dalradian Resources has named Eric Tremblay to the post of COO, effective March 16, 2015. He is currently general manager at the Canadian Malartic gold mine. Stephen Barnes also joins the company as environment manager. Barnes is the holder of a PhD in hydrogeology from Queen's University, Belfast, and was recently employed by Golder Associates.
Marc Leduc is now president and CEO of Vancouver's Luna Gold Corp. During his career throughout the Americas he gained extensive experience in the design, operation and construction of large mines, heap leaching facilities and tailings management.
Primero Mining Corp. of Toronto has chosen Ernest (Ernie) Mast as its new president and COO. He has held senior executive positions at Copper Mountain Mining, New Gold, Minera Panama, and the Falcondo ferronickel operation. Mast has an MEng in metallurgical engineering from McGill University.
Vancouver's Sabina Gold and Silver Corp. has named Bruce McLeod president and CEO following the retirement of Rob Pease. The change is effective Feb. 15, 2015.
Jacynthe Cote has been appointed to the board of Suncor Energy of Calgary. She was president and CEO of Rio Tinto Alcan from 2009 to 2014. She also sits on the board of RBC and Finning.
