MINING PEOPLE: Dalradian Resources, Goldcorp, Meadow Bay Gold, and Scorpio Gold

Goldcorp of Vancouver has expanded its board from 10 to 11 seats, naming Margot Franssen to occupy the additional chair. She is the founder and past-president of The Body Shop Canada, an Officer of the Order of Canada, and holder of the Outstanding Achievement in the Advancement of Women Award from the United Nations Development Fund UNIFEM. Franssen has an honorary doctor of humane letters 1995 and an honorary doctor of laws, honoris causa 1994. She has been named one of the Top 25 Most Influential Women in Canada, and one of the 21 Leaders of the 21st Century, among many other prestigious honours.

Vancouver-based Meadow Bay Gold Corp. has appointed Christopher Crupi as president, CEO and a director. He succeeds Robert Dinning, who will retain his role as chairman.

Scorpio Gold Corp. of Vancouver says Steve Roebuck has stepped down as president. Peter J. Hawley, current CEO, will assume the additional duties of president.
