Darnley Bay Resources of Toronto has named Jacquelin Gauthier as project manager for the Darnley Bay anomaly project in the Northwest Territories. He will employ his 30 years of experience to review past exploration data and select drill targets.

Vancouver-based Equinox Copper Corp. has appointed one of its current directors, Corey Dias, to the post of CEO. Former CEO Josh Bleak will remain on the board. Dias has a background in capital markets and holds an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.

The new VP of exploration at Pershimco Resources of Rouyn-Noranda, QC, is John Kapetas, and the VP for Latin America is Octavio Choy. The company has exploration projects in Canada, Mexico and Panama.

Selwyn Resources of Vancouver has named Wolfgang Schleiss VP exploration to replace departing Jason Dunning. Schleiss holds a MSc degree from Michigan Technological University and has previously managed precious and base metal exploration programs in North America, Europe and Russia.

Walter Hanych is now a director and the new CEO at Signature Resources of Vancouver. He is a geologist with an honours geology degree from Laurentian University in Sudbury, ON. Hanych replaces Johan Shearer who has resigned from the  company.

Tamerlane Ventures of Blaine, WA, has appointed John L. Key its new CEO. He has over 40 years of experience, including 28 years at Cominco and its successor Teck Cominco.
