Vancouver-based Discovery Ventures has named Robert Robson process metallurgist at its Max mill near Revelstoke, BC. He holds a diploma of mining technology from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. He has worked in Canada, the United States and Mexico. Eastmain Resources of Toronto has appointed Claude Lemasson as independent non-executive director. He has 28 years of experience in Canada, the United States and South America. Lemasson is a former general manager of Red Lake Gold Mines and also managed Goldcorp’s Eleonore development project in northern Quebec, where Eastmain’s flagship Eau Claire gold project is located. Dr. Michael Byron, previously Nighthawk Gold Corp.’s chief geologist, has assumed the duties of president and CEO and become a director of the company in Toronto. He replaces David Wiley who has resigned. Primero Mining Corp. of Toronto will name Ernest Mast as president, CEO and director, effective Jan. 31, 2016. He joined the company in February 2015 as president and COO. Joseph F. Conway, currently the company’s CEO, will become executive vice-chairman at that time.
