Dr. Laurence Curtis has been appointed a director and chairman of Eastmain Resources in Toronto. He is credited with the initial discovery and staking of the Back River gold belt and led teams to the discovery of several epithermal systems in the Caribbean Basin. He was also a founder of Intrepid Minerals.

Eco Oro Minerals of Vancouver has named Mark Moseley-Williams as president and COO. Holder of a BSc in mining engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and an MBA from the Cranfield School of Management, he was at one time the operations manager of Agnico Eagle’s Pinos Altos mine.

Marcotte Mining Machinery Services, headquartered in Sudbury, ON, has appointed Alicia Woods as general manager. She will oversee operation of the company, including engineering, production, sales and support while providing leadership and vision.

Michael D. Winship, a director of Toronto-based Rubicon Minerals Corp., has been asked to take up the role of president and CEO on an interim basis following the departure of Michael A. Lalonde.
