MINING PEOPLE: Energy Fuels, North American Palladium, Northern Dynasty, and San Gold

Toronto-based Energy Fuels, having completed the acquisition of Strathmore Minerals, has expanded the number of seats on its board of directors to 11, making room for former Strathmore president Steven Khan and Eun Ho Cheong of Korea Electric Power Corp.

James E. Gallagher is now COO at North American Palladium of Toronto. For the last seven years he has been global director of mining at Hatch, and before that he spent 24 years at Falconbridge. Gallagher holds a bachelor of mining engineering degree from Laurentian University.

The newest addition to the board of Vancouver-based Northern Dynasty Minerals is Ken Pickering, a professional engineer and executive with 40 years of experience. He was part of the engineering and operating team at the Island Copper mine in British Columbia, and he oversaw construction, development and operation of the Escondida copper mine in Chile.

San Gold Corp. of Winnipeg has asked Greg Gibson to sit on its board of directors. He was most recently president and CEO of Trelawney Mining and Exploration until that company's acquisition by IamGold Corp.
