Great Lakes Graphite of Toronto has appointed a general manager, Ted Luczak, for its Matheson micronization facility. A July start-up is anticipated for the plant. Anthony (Tony) P. Makuch is the new CEO of Toronto-based Kirkland Lake Gold. He brings more than 25 years of mine management, operations and technical experience, most notably as president and CEO of Lake Shore Gold. Former KLGold president and CEO George Ogilvie has left the company’s employ. Kombat Copper of Toronto has strengthened its management team with the appointment of Stephan Theron as president , CEO and director. Paul Bozoki will resume his role as CFO, and Heidi Gerry will return to the role of corporate secretary. Montreal’s Osisko Mining has asked John Hayes to be its next senior VP of corporate development. Jose Vizquerra Benavides, formerly the senior VP of corporate development, will now serve as the company’s executive VP of strategic development.
