AMARC RESOURCES of Vancouver has appointed Dr. Diane Nicolson VP corporate development. She has a BSc in geology from the University of London and a PhD in economic geology from the University of Wales.

Andre Roy has been named mine manager at the Casa Berardi gold project in northern Quebec. The mine and mill are owned by AURIZON MINES of Vancouver. Gilles Brousseau, who is general manager of mining, will shift his focus toward evaluating new property opportunities for the company.

Dr. Mark O'Dea is joining the board of DIORO EXPLORATION in Australia. O'Dea is a founder, president and CEO of both Fronteer Development Group and Aurora Energy Resources. He is a graduate of Carleton University in Ottawa.

LUFKIN INDUSTRIES of Lufkin, Texas, has elected John F. "Jay" Glick to the position of CEO in addition to his duties as president of the firm. He replaces Douglas V. Smith who will retire from the company but remain as its chairman. Glick's appointment takes effect on March 1, 2008.

Vancouver-based STRATAGOLD CORP. has promoted Mark Ayranto to VP corporate development. He holds a BSc from Dalhousie University in Halifax and an MBA from Royal Roads University in Victoria, B.C. Ayranto joined StrataGold in January 2007 as manager of environment and community affairs.
