The NWT & NUNAVUT CHAMBER OF MINES has unveiled its new board of directors for the 2006-07 term. They are president Lou Covello (consulting geologist), VP Nunavut John Laitin (Miramar Mining), VP NWT Trevor Teed (Whitebeach Point Exploration), treasurer Gord Clarke (Diavik Diamonds) and secretary Richard Morland (BHP Billiton Diamonds).

The board and management of Vancouver-based GOLDCORP has been revamped following the merger of that company and Glamis Gold. Ian Telfer moves from president and CEO to chairman of Goldcorp. Kevin McArthur is to be president and CEO as he was at Glamis. Charles Jeannes is the new executive VP, and Doug Holtby, former Goldcorp chairman becomes vice-chairman and lead director. Kevin McArthur, A. Dan Rovig, P. Randy Reifel and Kenneth Williamson are also joining the Goldcorp board of directors.

CLAUDE RESOURCES of Saskatoon has engaged the consulting services of Chester J. Keryliw to develop a structural model to guide exploration work in the Madsen area near Red Lake, Ontario.

Vancouver-headquartered GOLD CANYON RESOURCES has a new VP exploration, Garry K. Smith. He will be responsible for advancing the company's gold, uranium and gallium projects.

PERSHIMCO RESOURCES of Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec, has asked Alain Bureau to be its new VP special projects and operations.

Thomas Sills has become COO of SOUTH AMERICAN GOLD AND COPPER COMPANY of Toronto. At the same time, the company noted the appointment of Michael Churchill to the post of executive VP and as a director.

Mike Dolin has joined ST ANDREW GOLDFIELDS as manager for the Aquarius gold project near Timmins, Ontario. He will also co-ordinate efforts on the feasibility study on the property.
