Joe Carrabba is the new president and COO of DIAVIK DIAMOND MINES, effective May 1. He comes to Diavik from his current position as general manager of the Weipa Operations of COMALCO ALUMINIUM, and has been with the RIO TINTO GROUP for 20 years.
FORDING CANADIAN COAL TRUST has accepted the resignation of its CFO, Allen Hagerman, effective May 31. Ron Millos, who is currently VP corporate finance of TECK COMINCO, will replace Hagerman as CFO.
Gregory P. Isenor, PGeo, is the new president of JILBEY ENTERPRISES. Past-president Daniel D. Whittaker becomes president and secretary of the company. Jilbey has also added Gary MacKenzie to its board of directors.
The senior management and board of European Goldfields has been revamped. Eileen Carr takes over the position of CFO from Paul Martin. Leaving the company are Frank Wheatley (VP, general counsel and secretary), Gary O'Connor (VP exploration) and Laurie Marsland (board member).
