Karlis Jansons is the new mine services leader for GOLDER ASSOCIATES INNOVATIVE APPLICATIONS (GAIA). He has been with Golder since 1995 and is based in the Sudbury office.

GOLDCORP has promoted R. Bruce Humphrey to the position of senior VP and COO. He played a key role in the successful design, construction and operation of the company's Red Lake mine, the richest gold mine in the world.
Robert Friedland is now president of IVANHOE MINES. He succeeds Daniel Kunz who has been appointed president and a director of PACIFIC MINERALS. Friedland founded Ivanhoe in 1994 and will continue to serve as its chairman.
DIADEM RESOURCES of Toronto has announced that Paul A. Carroll is now president and CEO. Peter Howe will continue as chairman and Thomas Skimming has been appointed vice-chairman.
