Adanac Molybdenum Corp. of Vancouver has named a new chairman and CEO. Christopher C. Kirby steps up to the duties of president and CEO from VP and CFO. Roger P. Taylor, a director, has been selected chairman of the company. Former chairman and CEO Peter R. Jones has resigned his positions with the company.

 

Following the resignation of Tony Guthrie from its board, Toronto's Archangel Diamond Corp. has named Robin (Rob) Smart as his replacement. Smart is group manager technical leadership and assurance at De Beers, chairman of De Beers Marine Namibia, and serves on the technical committees of several joint venture boards in Namibia, Botswana and South Africa.

 

Michael R. Smith is the new president and CEO at Oremex Resources of Toronto. Formerly a Barrick employee, Smith was chief mine geologist at the Goldstrike mine and general manager of exploration in South America for that company.

 

Tenajon Resources of Vancouver has named Dr. Michael Gunning to its board of directors. A graduate of the University of Western Ontario, he has 20 years of experience with the Saskatchewan Geological Society and currently serves as president and CEO of Triex Minerals.
