Adriana Resources of Vancouver has named Allen J. Palmiere its new president and CEO. Former president and CEO Michael Beley is now the chairman. Palmiere has held senior executive positions with a number of Canadian mining companies, including most recently HudBay Minerals.
Robert Barnes, former VP operations (Mexico) is stepping into the role of VP operations (Canada) at Capstone Mining of Vancouver. He replaces Kevin Weston, who is leaving the company (see below).
The new COO at Vancouver's Farallon Mining is Kevin Weston, effective June 29. He holds a degree in mining engineering from McGill University.
Moneta Porcupine Mines of Timmins has invited Warren Bates, formerly VP exploration at Pelangio, to join it board of directors. Elsewhere, in the executive suite, former president Rod Whyte has been named chairman, and CEO Ian C. Peres has added the role of president to his duties.
