ALEXIS MINERALS CORP. of Toronto welcomes Michel Labonte (formerly of Richmont Mines) as general manager of operations in Val d'Or and Jean Girard (formerly of Campbell Resources) as manager of exploration.

Mining engineer Curtis Clarke is the new president and CEO of BEHRE DOLBEAR, the mineral industry consulting company.

Two new faces have joined the team at CLAUDE RESOURCES of Saskatoon. Judy Stoetereau, a graduate of the University of Manitoba, has become exploration manager. Philip Ng, a McGill University graduate, is now the VP operations.

FORTUNE MINERALS of London, Ontario, has named Jim Mucklow as the company's manager of environment and community relations. He has 20 years of professional experience and will be based in Thunder Bay.

GLR RESOURCES of Kirkland Lake, Ontario, has named John Orr its new COO.

MINE RADIO SYSTEMS of Goodwood, Ontario, has hired Gabor Burkus as production manager. His background is in electronics manufacturing, including 10 years experience with Nortel.

SHERWOOD COPPER of Vancouver has named Ian Berzins its manager of the Minto copper-gold development. He replaces Bill Dunn who is now manager of regulatory and corporate affairs. Berzins joins Sherwood after four years in Fort McMurray, Alberta, where he held senior positions at Albian Sands Energy and Suncor Energy. He also has extensive experience in the metal mining sector, including general manager at the Bissett gold mine in Manitoba, and the Lupin and Con gold mines in the Northwest Territories. Berzins has open pit and underground mining experience in the coal fields and Granisle copper mine in British Columbia and the Kidd Creek copper mine in Ontario.
