Alpha Gold of Coquitlam, B.C., sadly announced the death of CEO George Whatley on Dec. 24. He had led the company since 1991, and during this time discovered 10 mineralized zones on the Lustdust gold project in north-central British Columbia. He was 73.
Vancouver-based Monument Mining announced that George Molyviatis, Lorenzo Trentini and George Brazier have been elected to its board of directors and that Brazier has been named chairman.
The new president and CEO at Yukon Gold of Toronto is J.L. Guerra, Jr. He replaces Ronald K. Mann who has resigned.
