Calgary-based ANGLO MINERALS has named Corey Giasson its VP of business development and investor relations, effective May 1, 2007. He was previously manager of market research at Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan. Giasson holds an MBA from the University of Saskatchewan.

John Roberts has joined Vancouvers AURORA ENERGY RESOURCES as VP environment. He will oversee the regulatory process at the companys Michelin and Jacques Lake uranium projects as they advance.

CANADIAN ARROW MINES of Sudbury, Ontario, has reorganized its management team beginning with new president Kim Tyler (former chief geologist at the Frood Stobie mine complex). Dean MacEachern has moved into the role of CEO, and Todd Keast is now VP of exploration. David Larche has resigned from the positions of president and CEO.

Yellowknife, NWT-based ARCTIC ENERGY ALLIANCE has awarded Nick Strus of DIAVIK DIAMOND MINES its 2006 Energy Efficiency Award. A maintenance planner at the diamond mine, Strus received the award for his work to reduce haul truck idling times and thus realize fuel savings.

PETAQUILLA MINERALS of Vancouver has welcomed Richard Fifer as its president and CEO. A Panamanian citizen, Fifer has a BSc in geological engineering from the University of Utah and a masters degree in finance from Tulane University.
