Argentium Resources of Toronto has asked John Arthur Carter to assume the role of president and CEO. John Ross Moses, who previously held those posts, is now the chairman of the company. Carter is also president of MPE International, involved in the engineering and manufacturing of mineral processing equipment.

Vancouver-based BioteQ Environmental Technologies has asked David Speed to join the company as director of technical sales. He has 28 years  of water treatment experience.

The new COO of Vancouver's Great Basin Gold is Dana Roets, a mining engineer and graduate of the University of Pretoria.

Guyana Frontier Mining of Vancouver has appointed Warren Stanyer as president and CEO. He was most recently the company's COO and is currently its chairman.

Michael Dehn is the new president and CEO of Jourdan Resources of Montreal. A graduate of the University of Waterloo, he spent most of his career at Goldcorp. Now he holds executive and board positions at several small mining enterprises and is a partner in Avanti Management and Consulting.

Vancouver's Riverstone Resources has a new president and COO, Dwayne L. Melrose. Former president M.D. McInnis will continue to serve as CEO of the company and has also been named its chairman. Melrose's career has taken him around the globe working for Cameco and Centerra Gold.

Wes Carson, manager of operations and development for Thompson Creek Metals' Mt. Milligan copper-gold project in British Columbia, has been promoted to VP and GM at Mt. Milligan. He holds a degree in mining and mineral processing from the University of British Columbia. He has held various positions with other mining companies including Terrane Metals, Barrick Gold, Placer Dome, Elk Valley Coal and Cominco.
