AURORA ENERGY RESOURCES of Vancouver says Donald Falconer has joined the company as VP corporate development. He recently resigned from SXR Uranium One and was previously a senior executive of Southern Cross Resources.
Alain Vachon has joined REESE CORP. of Ottawa as its new VP exploration for South America. He will also assume the title of general manager of Reese's soon-to-be-formed subsidiary in Peru, where he won the Prospector of the Year Award in 2000. Vachon is a former senior geologist at Barrick Gold.
Vancouver-based NORTHERN PERU COPPER has named Ross Beaty as chairman and a director of the company. He is a founder of several public mining companies including Pan American Silver. Beaty replaces Robert Pirooz who has retired from the board but will remain as secretary.
The new VP of mining and engineering at Vancouver's REDCORP VENTURES is Richard Goodwin. His expertise will be put to good use in developing the Tulsequah project in northern British Columbia.
Leon Methot has reassumed the position of president and CEO at SOUTH-MALARTIC EXPLORATION following the resignation of Denis Villeneuve.
