Avanti Mining of Vancouver has hired Thomas J. Gunthardt as project manager responsible for all technical aspects of the development of the Kitsault molybdenum in British Columbia.

 

David Watkins has replaced William J. Coulter as chairman at Vancouver’s Commander Resources.

 

Toronto-based Merc International Minerals has retained William Waychison to oversee the upcoming diamond drill program at the Damoti Lake gold project in the Northwest Territories.

 

Robert M. Friedland has joined Vancouver-based Potash One as chairman of the board. He will play an active role in financing the company’s Legacy potash project.

 

Sola Resource Corp. of Calgary has named Prof. Roger Morton its new president and William Pfaffenberger its CEO. The news follows the resignation of former president Thomas Kovacs.

 

Louis Gignac is the new chairman of St Andrew Goldfields, headquartered in Oakville, ON. He is president of G Mining Services and a former president and CEO of Cambior.
