BANRO CORPORATION of Toronto says Peter Cowley has retired as president of the company but remains on the board of directors. Mike Prinsloo, CEO, will add the duties of president to his responsibilities.

Dr. Sadek E. El-Alfy is the new COO at Vancouver-based CRESTON MOLY CORP. His decades of experience includes VP operations at Crystallex International, general manager at Iron Ore Company of Canada, and chief mining engineer at Giant Yellowknife Mines.

NFX GOLD of Toronto has expanded its team with the addition of Martin Bourgoin as executive VP, Alexander Horvath as executive VP exploration and John Langton as exploration manager in Ontario. The company is drilling its Kirkland-Wright and Larder Lake gold properties in northern Ontario.

The new VP of corporate development at Toronto-based ORVANA MINERALS is Bill Williams, who has worked throughout the Americas with Western Mining, Northern Orion, Phelps Dodge and Freeport-McMoRan.
