Vancouver-based BEAR CREEK MINING has named Marc Leduc to the position of VP technical services. The company plans to complete both scoping and pre-feasibility studies of its Corani silver project in the next 12 months.

DIAMONDS NORTH RESOURCES of Vancouver has announced three recent promotions. Graham Gill is now VP operations; Bruce Kienlen has become VP exploration; and Nancy Curry is now VP corporate communications.

Jim Lincoln has joined the senior management team of Vancouver’s FRONTEER DEVELOPMENT GROUP as VP operations. Previously he was with Jinshan Gold Mines.

GOLD HAWK RESOURCES of Vancouver has a new VP of operations, Rod Lamond. He will be based in Lima, Peru, for the start-up and operation of the recently acquired Tamboraque mine.

Troy J. Fierro is now the VP of operations at Centennial, Colo.-based METALLICA RESOURCES. He takes up the duties of recently retired Fred Lightner who was COO. Fierro comes to Metallica from a similar position at Coeur d’Alene Mines.

OSISKO EXPLORATION of Montreal has named Patrick Goodwin its director of community development for the Canadian Malartic project. He is a trained architect and holder of an MBA degree.

Vancouver-based WESTERN CANADIAN COAL has named Paul Brent its new VP of marketing and business development, a move from his former post as director of commercial development. Before joining the coal producer, he was VP of marketing at BC Rail.
