Beaufield Resources of Ottawa has named Kevin Weston as president and CEO, replacing Jens Hansen. Weston holds a mining engineering degree from McGill University and was most recently COO of Maudore Minerals. He is also a Beaufield director.

Vancouver-based Compliance Coal has hired a new VP operations, Stephen Ellis. He has 30 years experience in the coal sectors of the United Kingdom, New Zealand and Australia. The company is developing its Raven underground coal project in British Columbia.

Alexander Khutorsky is the now the interim CEO of Meadow Bay Gold Corp. in Vancouver. He replaces Robert Dinning who is taking up the duties of chairman of the company.

Monarques Resources of Quebec City has named Jean-Marc Lacoste its new president and CEO, replacing Guy Bourassa. Lacoste has been a director of the company since April 2012.

Stephen McIntyre and Pelayo Cortina have been named to the board of Northern Gold Mining to replace departing directors James C. Gervais and Dennis Waddington. McIntyre is now the chairman, and Tyler Culhane has taken up the duties of COO. A graduate of the Haileybury School of Mines, Culhane was formerly president and CEO of Mag Copper.

Vancouver’s Teck Resources has appointed Edward C. Dowling to its board of directors. He was the former president and CEO of Alacer Gold until his retirement earlier this year.
