Montreal-headquartered BIRIM GOLDFIELDS has named Victor King its new president. He previously held the position of the company's COO and exploration manager. King is a native South African and led the Gold Fields team that explored the Tarkwa gold deposit.

William M. (Bill) Shaver has joined the board of Toronto-based DIADEM RESOURCES as vice-chairman. He was a co-founder of Dynatec and has been involved in the development and operation of many Canadian mines.

MUNDORO MINING of Vancouver has asked Alan Riles to fill the role of COO for the company. He brings to the job experience gained at Western Metal's Mount Gordon mine in Australia, Rio Narcea's mines in Spain, and most recently as COO of Inco's Goro nickel development.

David K. Duval has resigned his position as CEO of Vancouver's OREMEX RESOURCES, citing a family-related matter. He accepted the position in January 2006.

Vancouver-based RIPPLE LAKE DIAMONDS has named Neil Dragovan and Ed Williams to its board of directors. Foo Chan has resigned from the board but remains with the company as its CFO.

TAGISH LAKE GOLD of Richmond, B.C., has named Barry Way its new manager of exploration. A graduate of the University of Alberta, he will reside in Whitehorse, YT.
