MINING PEOPLE IN THE NEWS: Bison Gold, Crowflight, Iron Creek, NSK and Pediment

Toronto-based Bison Gold Resources has asked George E. Pirie to join its board of directors. He is an industry veteran who held several executive positions with Placer Dome.

Stephen Davies is the new COO of Crowflight Minerals of Toronto. A graduate of Haileybury School of Mines and Michigan Technological University (mine engineering), he worked in senior operations with Alex MacIntyre & Associates at a number of base metal, gold and uranium mines in Canada.

The new president at Vancouver's Iron Creek Capital will be Tim Beale, effective July 2010. His career spans more than 25 years, much of its spent in South America. He holds degrees from both Chelsea and Imperial colleges at London University.

NSK Canada welcomes Michael St. Jacques to its roster as general manager for the company's Canadian operations. He has extensive international experience in manufacturing, distribution, finance, sales and marketing, most recently at Latham International.

Peter Mordaunt has joined the board of directors at Vancouver's Pediment Gold Corp. He recently retired from Stingray Copper, which he founded and managed.
