BLACKSTONE VENTURES of Vancouver has made Jari Paakki its new VP of project development. He recently resigned from Teck Comincos office in Thunder Bay, Ont.

Tom G. Schroeter, formerly senior regional geologist for the province of British Columbia, has accepted the job of president and CEO at FJORDLAND EXPLORATION of Vancouver.

MINE RADIO SYSTEMS of Goodwood, Ont., has added Dr. Terry Van-Thua Ho to its team of experts. He becomes the companys engineering manager.

Ken Wang will retain his seat on the board of Vancouver-based ORSA VENTURES but will give up the duties of president to chairman Brian Flower on an interim basis.

TAGISH LAKE GOLD, headquartered in Richmond, B.C., has named John S. Rogers as technical advisor for the planning, preparation and management of the Skukum Creek gold project. He is a graduate of the University of New Brunswick (electrical engineering) and McGill University (mining engineering).

The new VP of exploration at Vancouver-based TRI GOLD RESOURCES is Peter Chadwick. He has a Masters degree in Geology from the University of Cape Town and is a member of the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario.

Vancouvers TRUE NORTH GEMS has nominated Robert Boyd to its board of directors. Shareholders will vote at the annual meeting on June 22, 2007.

WIRE ROPE INDUSTRIES of Pointe Claire, Que., has announced that Michael Field has re-joined the company as sales manager of the Great Lakes region and that Lon Coley has joined the company as manager of open pit mining for western Canada.
